Taking the inner journey. Is it time?

Taking the inner journey. Is it time?

So many clients lately are walking in to the clinic and saying things like…

“I don’t really know who I am, or what I’m doing in this life”.

This is of course, a very common experience. Most people have this thought at least once or twice.

If it doesn’t show up as a thought, it might look like actions you take…

  • Take a new course
  • Get a new/another qualification
  • Or undertake some sort of self-improvement
  • Or take on repeated home renovation projects

I mean, you might just be doing these things for curiosity or because it’s about pure enjoyment or creativity.

Or…not.

Sometimes what you’re seeking (whether you know it or not) is satisfaction… If I just do this thing, my itch will be scratched.

But it wasn’t. So you try something else. And something else.

You can’t even really explain what you’re looking for.

Which is how, eventually, people end up asking those questions…

Who am I?
What am I doing?
And what am I *meant* to be doing?

So you start another project. You look at what ELSE might be just the thing you need.

Without ever really understanding the core of the issue.

Our entire word view is built around our experience of the external world. In other words, what you see, feel and sense. Your interactions with the world around you.

My first question for clients who ask these sorts of questions are…how much time do you spend looking inwards?

Believe me, I get it. I used to have a long list of questions and I was desperately seeking people who could answer them for me.

We want others to offer us the info we need. We don’t allow ourselves the possibility that the answers we seek might be something we already know…

But a lot of the time, we do.

I can’t count the number of times clients will say “oh yeah, I was thinking about that the other day”, when info shows up in their session

A lot of the time we do know the answers, we’ve just forgotten how to access them.

Often, too, when these questions arise for you, it’s a sign post towards going deeper with any spiritual practice you already have. Or starting one if you haven’t got anything in place yet.

Are you ready to step on to the journey of inner knowing? To feel more connected to yourself?

Is it time?

Much love,
