Why do I feel so tired after my Kinesiology session?

Here’s another great topic to chat about. It’s something I hear a lot, and I’m going to explain why this happens as a part of my #thingsclientssay series.

“Wow I feel so tired after my session. I could easily have a big sleep now.”

This is a VERY common experience for my clients, especially those who only come in every now and then.

Why is this?

I first started noticing clients reporting this back to me after I’d personally had a powerful spiritual awakening last year. Which changed a lot of things in my life, as well as in my healing work.

Suddenly client sessions were super-duper-charged and more powerful than ever!

Then clients began saying that they’d get home and zonk out. They’d have, or feel like having a massive sleep. (Not everyone has that luxury, depending on when their session is and what their other responsibilities are).

It began to be a regular Thing. Especially with new clients, and those I see less often.

So what’s going on?!

Well, generally you will feel tired if that’s your underlying condition.

To be honest, most people are EXHAUSTED.

Wayyyy over-tired and sleep deprived due to work and family responsibilities, emotional stress, trauma, worries, illness and so on.

Whatever it is that keeps you out of alignment with your natural state of wellness. It’s like carrying around a backpack full of rocks.

But because our lives today are so hectic, and we genuinely believe we can’t afford to slow down or stop, we hold on.

There’s even an advertisement for a cold and flu medicine that encourages us to “soldier on”. Just medicate yourself to suppress what’s really going on and keep moving!

Really?

Note: Your friendly neighbourhood Kinesiologist does NOT recommend soldiering on when you’re run down!

Have you ever gone on a much anticipated holiday only to get sick the moment it’s holiday time?

This is a sign that your body has been holding on for dear life, until YOU start to relax. Then your immune system feels like it can relax too.

Only by then, you’re already depleted and BOOM, there’s your cold or flu!

When you have a Kinesiology session, I work with you holistically

I assess and work with your whole being – your nervous and neuro-endocrine systems, your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.

By detecting and diffusing stress, trauma, negative emotional or mental patterns etc, your body no longer has to hold onto that baggage.

Can you remember a time when you carried a really heavy bag around for a few kilometers?

And how exhausting that is compared to walking the same distance without your bag?

You guessed it.

Your stressors are like carrying heavy luggage with you everywhere you go

So being able to let go of them? And having your body reset to release anxiety, fear, stress or trauma? Means you feel relief!

But you might ALSO start to feel that natural state of tiredness that comes from recognising what’s really been going on.

All of that holding on! Allowing your life be dominated by stressors, fears and/or anxiety.

So I work with your body to find out what’s needed to release those heavy bags.

And there we have it…a relaxed yet tired person on the table.

HOT TIP: If this happens to you after your Kinesiology session? Please listen to your body and get some sleep!

Much love,

  1. I had a kinesiology therapy session but I was not too tired like I was expecting to be, is it normal? Did I perhaps break up the “connection” from the therapy
